I grew up in Baraboo, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the charm of small-town life. Summers were always a highlight as my family and I would make our way to Wisconsin Dells, the exciting “Waterpark Capital of the World.”

As a child, I remember the thrill of riding on the Original Wisconsin Ducks, exploring the unique amphibious vehicles while taking in the sights of the Dells. We would visit attractions like Ripley’s Believe It or Not, with its quirky exhibits, and enjoy the adrenaline rush of the water slides at Noah’s Ark Waterpark.

Through the years, our family tradition continued, passing down the love for the Dells to the next generation. We would spend lazy days fishing and picnicking at Lake Delton, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Exploring the wilderness at Timbavati Wildlife Park and taking scenic boat tours of Upper and Lower Dells became cherished moments shared with loved ones.

Today, I still find joy in experiencing the wonders of Wisconsin Dells with my own family. Whether it’s indulging in homemade doughnuts at Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty, immersing ourselves in the history of H.H. Bennett Studio & Museum, or enjoying the entertainment at the Palace Theater, there is always something new to discover and old favorites to revisit.

The magic of Wisconsin Dells lives on in our family’s traditions, bridging the past with the present and creating a tapestry of memories that bind us together.
